Laughing Buddha Nursery

We love getting our food from Laughing Buddha Nursery. Their pasture-raised meats, eggs, and organic produce are incredible, and you can tell they truly care about regenerative farming and being good stewards of the land. The girls in the shop are always so friendly, know me by name, and somehow always have my order ready super fast when I arrive. It’s such a great local spot and we’re grateful to support a LOCAL farm that’s doing things the right

I am so glad that Laughing Buddha Nursery exists and that I found them. I love knowing where my food comes from. We order as much of our groceries as possible from Laughing Buddha. It’s a wonderful company that gives back to the community. I hope Lloyd finds the nursery he’s looking for, sorry it wasn’t a match :(

The best “one stop shopping” spots for locally grown produce, ethically sourced protein, and by far the best eggs in the city. They also stock seeds, organic garden amendments, and their own superior blend of raised bed soil mix! Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Delivery services are available for a small fee. Our go to store for years!

Imagine a whole farmers market packed into a single store. That's pretty much the vibe here. They have a curated selection of produce, meats, and prepared foods from local farmers, so you dont have to track down these very busy growers individually to get amazing fresh and local food. Not as much of a nursery as it once was (sorry Lloyd), now they're sooo much more than that! We need more businesses like this one here in metro New Orleans and all over this country.

Love these EGGS! They have a lot more than eggs, but eggs are the main reason that I go back every week. Local farm yard raised birds that live outside and they make delicious eggs of all sizes and colors. When I visit, they also offer a lot of locally grown, some organic, and some not, local vegetables, greens, etc. they have a freezer bank of pasture raised and finished meats: chicken, beef, pork to. Prices are not cheap, but we will pay extra for local and sustainably raised. It also just taste really good. If you are a chorizo fan, try Grant’s chorizo. They used to have duck eggs, too… I hope they get duck eggs back one day.
